unique programs by becoming a member or sponsor!

The Alice Ferguson Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1954. On the shores of the Potomac River, 10 miles south of Washington, D.C., the Hard Bargain Farm Environmental Center welcomes thousands of schoolchildren annually to visit the rolling hills, forest and wetlands of this working farm. The Bridging the Watershed high school programs provide science-based lessons in National Parks throughout the metropolitan region. The Trash Free Potomac Initiative and Potomac River Watershed Cleanup, spearheaded by the AFF, engages citizens, government agencies, community groups and many other entities in a commitment to a Trash Free Potomac River watershed by 2013, the 25th anniversary of the PRWC.
